Signs of Low Blood Pressure
What are low blood pressure signs and symptoms?  From    www.medicinenet.com

When blood pressure is not sufficient to deliver enough blood to the organs of the body, the organs do not work properly and can be temporarily or permanently damaged. For example, if insufficient blood flows to the brain, brain cells do not receive enough oxygen and nutrients, and a person can feel lightheaded, dizzy, or even faint.
Going from a sitting or lying position to a standing position often brings out symptoms of low blood pressure. This occurs because standing causes blood to "settle" in the veins of the lower body, and this can lower the blood pressure. If the blood pressure is already low, standing can make the low pressure worse, to the point of causing symptoms. The development of lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting upon standing caused by low blood pressure is called orthostatic hypotension. Normal individuals are able to compensate rapidly for the low pressure created by standing with the responses discussed previously and do not develop orthostatic hypotension.
When there is insufficient blood pressure to deliver blood to the coronary arteries (the arteries that supply blood to the heart's muscle), a person may develop chest pain (a symptom of angina) or even a heart attack.
When insufficient blood is delivered to the kidneys, the kidneys fail to eliminate wastes from the body, for example, urea (BUN) and creatinine, and increases in their levels in the blood occur.

IODINE DEFICIENCIES A SIMPLE HOME TEST
Since in the Midwest states there has been a deficiency of iodine recognized for decades iodine has been added to table salt to provide what is needed by the thyroid and other body functions. A simple test using the common iodine usually put on cuts (leaving a yellowish stain on the skin) can tell one if one is deficient in iodine. Place a swatch of iodine on the skin and time how long it takes for the body to absorb it and for the yellow stain to disappear. A body deficient in iodine will absorb the iodine in less than an hour. If the stain remains for 12 hours, the body is not deficient.  Recommended high quality absorbable iodine is in the form of Nascent Iodine.  If you are sensitive to oral versions this is great.  If you find it hard to take even this orally try a dime size on the skin of the arm or inner thigh.

Simple Home Thyroid Test
Most of the people whom are not losing weight have sub-clinical hypothyroidism.  See if your thyroid is sluggish and holding you
back from losing weight and feeling good.  Tired of being tired and not knowing why?  What to do about it too.  Basal Resting
Temperature

Fortunately, determining if your thyroid is underactive is one of the easiest tests you can perform. It's also practically foolproof. All you have to do is check your basal metabolic rate by taking the temperature of your body at your underarm.

Here's how you do it:
1. Place an oral thermometer by your bed.
2. When you wake up the next morning, immediately place the thermometer in your armpit and leave it there for 10 minutes before getting out of bed. Just relax and remain still during the test.  Get enough sleep and, if possible, regular sleep. Irregular sleep patterns (including less than three hours of uninterrupted sleep) can result in false readings
3. Record the temperature.

Men and premenstrual and premenopausal women can do the test any time. Women in their menstrual years get the most accurate readings on the second or third day after menstrual flow starts. A reading of anywhere between 97.2 and 98.2 degrees is considered normal (your morning temperature will be lower than your temperature later in the day, which is usually around 98.6 degrees). Temperatures outside that range generally indicate a thyroid imbalance.  So if you are below 97.6 F or below  you are or can have sub clinical hypo- thyroid.

Take your temperature every day at the same time, before getting out of bed Set an alarm and keep the thermometer at your bedside or under your pillow. Don't stand up, walk around, eat anything, drink anything, or engage in any kind of activity (even shaking a mercury thermometer) until after you've taken your BBT (which is supposed to be taken at full rest).

Although this test is simple, it gives far better results than traditional thyroid blood tests. The only reason it's not more widely recommended is that nobody can figure a way to make money from it. Untold numbers of individuals, exhibiting so-called "normal" blood tests, have experienced quick and lasting relief from cardiovascular and other health problems by simply improving their thyroid function

Look for a gradual or sudden rise in temperature (between 0.5 and 1.6 degrees F). Fertility is highest during the two to three days before your basal temperature rises so if you can observe any month-to-month patterns in when your temperature rises, you can predict the best time to conceive (or the best time to abstain if you're using this method for birth control).

Make a graph on graph paper or on the computer, with dates on the bottom and basal temperature on the side. You can find and print fertility charts online, as well as sign up for a fertility charting service.
