Menopause comes with several symptoms including hot flashes, vaginal dryness, decreased sex drive, depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Many of these symptoms are due to the hormonal changes that take place. Hormone replacement therapy of estrogen and progestin is normally used to treat symptoms of menopause. There are also several natural and herbal remedies to help decrease the symptoms experienced. Vitamin E and C are used to relieve symptoms, especially hot flashes. 7 Keto DHEA (25mg) helps improve mood symptoms, and progesterone aids in reducing menopausal symptoms.
Helpful herbs include black cohosh and sage for hot flashes, kava for anxiety and other symptoms, and GABA and Asian ginseng to improve psychological symptoms. Licorice, alfalfa, red clover, burdock, dong quai, wild yam, and motherwort are also used in reducing symptoms experienced during menopause. The above herbals recommendations are in Pure Herbs liquid tincture .
Pure Herbs is used by world famous herbalist Solomon Wickey. He has them make his formulations only.
The following are very helpful:
Pharmaceutical Grade TYROSINE
Often called the stress amino acid. Precursor to
catecholamines ® epinephrine ® norepinephrine
® dopamine ® dopa. Helps support a positive
mood. Assists in normal brain function and
supplier of neurotransmitters. Helps support
normal blood pressure. Precursor of thyroid
hormones. Involved in tissue pigmentation.
Contains no binders, coatings, or colorings.
Free of the most common allergens such as corn,
soy, wheat, yeast, rice, lactose, milk, citrus, or
eggs.
Note: Tyrosine should not be taken with MAO
and tricyclic antidepressants, or when a
cancerous melanoma is present or history of
cancerous melanoma.
Glutamine, is the third most abundant amino acid in the blood
and brain. It is an inhibitory neurotransmitter that
acts as a precursor for GABA, the anti-anxiety
amino acid. Glutamine crosses the blood-brain
barrier where it helps increase energy and mental
alertness. It helps the brain dispose of waste
ammonia, a protein breakdown byproduct.
Glutamine’s most important function is
strengthening the immune system due to its
effects on increasing white blood cells. It also
aids other immune cells in killing bacteria, healing
wounds and maintaining and supporting
Glutathione, an important antioxidant. The main
nutrient needed for intestinal repair is glutamine,
which can work with Leaky-Gut syndrome. It is a
tasteless powder that can help curb sugar and
alcohol cravings. Children born with a Glutamine
deficiency are more prone to alcoholism later in
life. Glutamine also is one of the most potent
Growth Hormone stimulators. In Dr. Richard
Klatz’s book, Grow Young with HGH, Dr.
Giampapa is quoted reporting that two grams of
glutamine are more potent than one gram of
Arginine, Ornithine and Lysine combined.
GABA
Dr. Candace Pert,
Pharmacologist, discovered the GABA receptor
sites throughout the brain and body. Nicknamed
“The Anti-Anxiety Amino Acid,” this is an
inhibitory neurotransmitter that the brain uses to
stop the endless cycle of stress, which is so
common in today’s world. While there is no such
thing as a tranquilizer deficiency, most people
who have abused refined carbohydrates
(especially alcohol and sugar) as well as those
who have been chronically emotionally or
mentally fatigued are greatly lacking in this
nutrient. GABA can be of great help in those who
can’t get to sleep because of an overly stimulated
mind. Many allopathic anti-depressants have the
effect on the human body of substituting
depression for irritability, which is why some
people are given prescriptions for tranquilizers
along with anti-depressants. This nutrient may
greatly help. Remember that GABA requires
BComplex Vitamins for its proper assimilation.
B12 Methylcobalamin for brain function
and depression, confusion, prevent alzheimers
Dosage:
1000mcg 100 lozenges
take two to three to start to see if
